I just got back from the Circle of excellence awards, congratulations to all of our agents who won. It is a special accomplishment during these challenging times we are in!!! While reading the Platinum award winners names the President of the board said something profound. “I guess these people did not hear about the challenging market”. He was right on the money!! Have you met those people? I have, and none of them are anymore skilled than any of you! In fact I think the only difference is execution. They know what to do in any market and they do it. You all have the knowledge; you all could be accepting the platinum award on stage with them.
Here are some good lessons from a book “the PEP TALK” by Kevin Elko, it was sent to me from friends of mine in DALLAS TX.
12 Business Lessons:
1. Don’t defeat yourself before you get started by allowing negative thoughts burden you
with limitations.
2. Seize the moment: choose to say “this is my day and I will make the most of it”.
3. Nobody succeeds without the help of others. It takes a team effort.
4. Stay focused. Don’t be preoccupied with how much money you will make. Concentrate on
the task at hand- the money will come.
5. Visualize your success. This will give you a goal you will eventually attain.
6. Adversity is part of life. Don’t let setbacks defeat you. Adversity makes you stronger.
7. Be persistent. NEVER, never give in.
8. Expect the competition to be strong. Don’t under estimate the opponent.
9. Believe in others and others will believe in you.
10. Be a team player.
11. Believe and trust the process. Rid yourself of self doubts.
12. Believe you will succeed. Have faith in your future.
Bottom line: Don’t let the market drive you, you drive the market!!!
