Last Minute Gifts
John Bendall owner of Re/Max Classic Group shares some last minute gift ideas.
Okay, now you’ve done it. For weeks you’ve been planning to start your holiday shopping tomorrow… and now it’s here, tomorrow’s Christmas and you have no time to spare! Before you start wrapping up random items from around your home take a deep breath and get creative. The following are some last minute gift ideas, some of which do not even require you to get out of your pajamas.
There are a number of gift giving options online. You can choose a gift that is truly personal and not have to worry about fighting the crowds. Some good choices are gourmet food items, magazine subscriptions, personalized note cards, wines, and books. You could also make a donation in your recipient’s name. The Woodbridge Public Library has a program where they put a bookplate thanking the donor for a donated book. Don’t worry that there won’t be time to receive the item, just print a description from the website and wrap that up. The recipient will have the fun of opening up a gift now and the anticipation of receiving the actual gift soon.
As I mentioned in a previous post, depending on the recipient gift cards can be a much appreciated treat. There are often varieties to choose from at the grocery store, or the corner convenience store.
Of course many stores will be open into the afternoon and some into the evening today, if you want to get really creative choose a one of a kind gift go to a second hand shop and look for a vintage item.
Most of all don’t stress and enjoy the holiday!
