Great Customer Service Never Goes Out of Style
John Bendall owner of Re/Max Classic Group discusses the importance of good customer service and a high tech world.
As our business becomes more and more dependant on new forms of technology to survive we must remember that people are the most important thing to our business. It is very easy to get caught up in doing business in the technological world and to lose sight of our ultimate goal of building relationships. In a recent article on Inmann News Bernice Ross said that “At the heart of what our business should be, even in light of all the technological innovation, is being of service to those who elect to do business with us. Our business is not about just the numbers, it’s about making a difference to those who lives we touch.”
We need to use the available technology to make connections with our clients. We can also use technology to build trust, if we promise to do something we need to get it done and technology is a tool to help us do that. If our clients trust us to do what we say we will build confidence throughout the Real Estate experience. If that experience is a good one they will have the confidence to refer their friends and loved ones when they are in need of a Real Estate Professional.
The Real Estate business has changed enormously over the last several years as internet marketing, navigation devices, up to the minute listings available on PDA’s and cell phones have become the tools of our trade. Public expectations of what we provide have grown along with the technology we use. Clients expect to be able to get answers to questions 24/7. No matter what kinds of tech trends come and go doing business with people will always be what it’s all about.
