Google Maps adds new “Street View” Feature.
John Bendall owner of Re/Max Classic Group comments on the new “Street View” feature on Google Maps and how it may affect Home Searches.
At Re/Max Classic Group we have always tried to be up on the latest technological advances in the Real Estate industry. Websites like Map Quest and Google maps have been a friend to Realtors and Clients alike, especially transferee’s. The ability to get directions and maps of any area at anytime has become indispensable. The latest high tech addition to Google Maps may change the way we do Drive-By’s and Area Tours forever. Home buyers have increasingly used the internet to search for homes and learn about new areas, now Google Maps has provided yet another way they can get information about a neighborhood. Now anyone can map an address and click on the new “Street View” tab and see exactly what the street looks like as if we were standing on it. Google has started with major metropolitan areas, so not all areas offer this feature, yet. If you see an unmarked white van go by, smile you may be on Google maps.
